Be watchful over the gates of your spirit. If you don't keep your eye-gate and ear-gates monitored and closed, you allow the enemy (Satan, the Devil, the accuser of the brethren, our arch enemy, adversary, hater of mankind) quick access to your house (mind, spirit, soul, and body).
Whatever spirit controls the gate, controls the city. Either the Spirit of God is in control of your life or the spirit of Satan. When he breaks in to your house, he brings company which can be detrimental to your life, well-being, and eternal destiny. Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
If you put evil before your eyes, you will act out what you see; pornography, movies filled with violence, witchcraft, nudity, killing, fighting, sex, etc. If you constantly hear and engage in drama, gossip, slander, negativity, receive word curses, you open yourself up to demonic attacks.
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters,: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (wealth).
