PASTOR SIMON COLLIER
Pastor Simon Collier was born and reared in Yazoo City, MS. He is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Collier. He joined church an early age and his mother made sure that he went to Sunday School every Sunday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Yazoo City in the early 1970’s. He graduated from Yazoo City High School in 1979. He got saved and Holy Ghost filled on the campus of Alcorn State University in 1981. He became involved in Campus Outreach Ministry. God dealt with him at age 20 regarding the call to ministry.
He played football as a Freshman, baseball as a Sophomore, and he was also an Honor student. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1983 from Alcorn State University, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Belhaven University in 2002, and a Master’s Degree in Theology from New Life Fellowship School of Ministry in 2016.
Pastor Simon and Co-Pastor Cheryl Collier got married June 14, 1986 and reside in Canton, MS. They have three wonderful children. Deacon Simon Elliot Collier, II is married to Ella Latrice. They have two beautiful daughters; Simone and Skylar. They reside in Canton, MS. Their daughter Minister Gloria Warren is married to Elder Bryson Warren. They are the parents of three handsome sons: Amari, Malachi (who transitioned early), Nathan, and a beautiful daughter named Eva. They reside in Sandusky, OH. Deacon Caleb Collier is married to Aysia Nicole. They reside in Canton, MS.
He served faithfully as Financial Chairman, Church Administrator, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Lead Guitarist for 22 years at The Ark of Safety Ministry under the pastorate of the late Elect Lady Gloria L. Woodard.
He accepted his call to the ministry in 2008. In June 2010 Pastor Simon Collier and his wife founded Living Water Ministry in their home. The church was built in 2018 located at 1765 Highway 22, Canton, MS. He is a Man of God, a dynamic teacher of the Word, and he is the Pastor of Living Water Ministry.
Pastor Collier currently works full-time as a local Banker. He's a member of the Canton Lion’s Club, 100 Black Men of Canton, a former Board Member of Our Daily Bread Ministry in Canton and currently does volunteer work with local charities. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the lead and bass guitar, landscaping, gardening, golf, chess, and he's an avid hunter.
